This week’s Wisconsin restaurant pick: The Dump

It’s Wednesday and I’m writing this from a coffee shop in Nosara, Costa Rica. Two hours before pushing this live. Today, we’re reviewing a restaurant in a town I honestly never thought I’d find myself in, but the things I do for good wings, right?
Lets review: The Dump.
The Lowdown
City: Cambria, WI
Address: 105 W Edgewater St, Cambria, WI 53923
The Ambiance

Don’t let the name fool you - this place is actually really cool.
From the outside, you might think it’s just a tiny little hole-in-the-wall, but it opens up into a massive space once you step inside. Multiple rooms, slot machines, great bars, and a ton of beer.
It’s got that classic, lively Wisconsin pub feel that’s perfect for families or just hanging out with friends.
About the restaurant:
The Dump is a local legend in Cambria.
They’re famous for their "Award Winning Dump Burgers" and have even been named in the Elite Eight of Wisconsin’s Best Burger Contest.
They also host the "Dump and Run," a huge charity event with live music and a pig roast that draws over 1,000 people.
Crucial Advice: This place is old school. They are cash or check only, so don't show up with just your plastic. Also, while they’re open all week, they only serve wings on Wednesdays.
What I Ordered
Since it was Wednesday, I went for the All-You-Can-Eat Wings for $18.75. It comes with a side of fries and your choice of two sauces. I went with:
Buffalo
Garlic Parmesan (The waitress recommended this, and honestly, she’s a hero for that)
My thoughts on the food
First off, these wings are not your average tiny bar wings. They are huge, never frozen, and hand-breaded. The breading is the star here… it’s flaky, crunchy, and breaks apart perfectly without being that rock-hard stuff you get at cheap places.
The Buffalo: Phenomenal. Exactly what you want in a wing.
The Garlic Parm: Out of this world. I usually stick to spicy wings, but this sauce was unbelievable. I even heard they put it on their steak sandwiches, which sounds like a dream.
The Fries: Standard fries. Good. Can’t complain.
The "crunch-to-meat ratio" was almost a 10. I gave this place a 9/10 - they’re in MY top 5 of best wings in Wisconsin.
Important & interesting info:
The Burger: Even though I was there for the wings, everyone says they have one of the best burgers in the state. I’ve heard it’s "world-class," so make sure you grab one if you’re not feeling the wing-overload.
Hunting Contest: If you’re into the outdoors, The Dump is home to one of the largest deer hunting contests in Wisconsin.
Music: They have a ton of live music and events, so check their schedule if you want some tunes with your meal.
Conclusion

If you’re anywhere near Cambria on a Wednesday, you’d be crazy not to stop here. Just remember your cash, be ready for a crowd, and definitely listen to the waitress if she tells you to get the Garlic Parm.
